  • [Authority]
    ・Maintains, nurtures and improves staff morale by delegating specific responsibility along with proper authority to subordinates with a proven track record of accountability and accomplishment.
    ・In the absence of the Chief Concierge, ensure that correct supervision is given to the sub-department and desk personnel which may come into contact.
    ・Ensure personnel under his/her direct supervision are given job tasks to enable the Concierge Section to keep its standard high, and in turn given full satisfaction to hotel guest request.
    [Administration/Cost Management]
    ・Assign and compose the weekly work schedules for the staff to be displayed on office notice board in good time.
    [Staff Management]
    ・In the absence of the Chief Concierge, ensure that the Front Office Manager is kept informed of any problems that may arise in the Concierge Section.
    ・Ensure all staff to receive full training.
    ・Work with Chief Concierge in maintaining staff discipline.
    [Guest Service]
    ・Ensure all guest requests for travel arrangement, mailing, tours, restaurant reservations and any other requests Concierge Section to handle are handled in proper manner and in accordance with Hotel policies.
    ・Ensure any recommendations given to hotel guests for shopping, tours etc. are only those have fully approved by the Hotel Management, and always uses great tact, so as to reflect the good reputation of the hotel.
    ・Ensure all guest requests are neatly logged in the Concierge Daily File or Concierge Log Book, by him/herself and other desk personnel, so as the Chief Concierge can ensure those requests are carried out to the service level that the management expects.
    ・Ensure a close working relationship is kept with entire Front Office Department and also good working relationship with other department.
    ・Ensure a pleasant and positive attitude of staff towards hotel guests at all time and conducts him/herself in a manner as to encourage fellow employees to do likewise.
    ・Resolve guest complaints immediately and generously, regardless how small they are.
    [Safety, Hygiene and Cleanliness]
    ・Ensure oneself and staffs understanding and compliance with house rules and resolving problems referred.

・Thorough familiarity with procedures of recordkeeping, handling of luggage and arrangement of car use for Hotel's guests
・Thorough familiarity with various postage and courier changes in different parts of the world
・Thorough familiarity with information concerning Japan in general
・Ability to handle guest requests for relative services over the phone or at the counter
・Ability to arrange with drivers for allocation car use
・Ability to provide reference to staff
・Ability to supervise staff and allocate work accordingly
・Maintains up to date international information on behalf of our travelling guests is desired
[Education, Training Qualifications]
・High school or College education
・Hotel training school
・University degree qualification is desired
[Experience]
5 years in relevant area and/or 2 years in
Senior Concierge Clerk position
[Personality]
Pleasant, positive, outgoing, helpful
[Language]
・Business level Japanese and English
・Ability to speak other languages is desired
[Other Information]
Familiar with various computer office applications
